Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the Current Era mobile application or the website currentera.xyz (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Current Era (“we,” “our,” or “us”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part, you may not access the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Current Era is a mobile application that provides weekly AI-generated readings based on your responses to short check-in prompts. The Service includes features such as era naming, cinematic readings, mood landscape analysis, era timelines, Era Bonds, and the Era Echo notification.

3. Accounts

3.1 Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at hello@currentera.xyz.

3.2 Accuracy

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update that information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

3.3 One Account Per Person

You may not create multiple accounts. Accounts are non-transferable.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

4.1 Free Tier

A free tier is available with limited features as described in the app and at currentera.xyz/pricing.

4.2 Premium Subscription

Premium features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual basis. Pricing is displayed in the app at the time of purchase and is subject to change with notice.

4.3 Billing and Renewal

Subscriptions are managed and billed through Apple App Store or Google Play. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. By subscribing, you authorize the applicable app store to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to Premium features until then. We do not issue refunds for unused portions of a subscription period, except as required by applicable law.

4.5 Free Trials

We may offer free trials from time to time. At the end of any free trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.

5. User Content

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of the responses and any content you submit to the Service (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you (including generating your AI readings).

5.2 AI-Generated Readings

The readings, era names, cinematic lines, and other outputs generated by our AI are produced for your personal use and reflection. They are not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.

5.3 Accuracy

AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies or misinterpretations. Readings are reflective tools, not definitive assessments. We make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated content.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to access the Service
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users through Era Bonds or community features
• Submit false or misleading information to manipulate AI readings
• Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or harmful content
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Resell or commercially exploit any portion of the Service without our express written consent

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and all content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to design, text, graphics, logos, and software) are owned by Current Era and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any portion of the Service without our express written permission.

8. Era Bonds

Era Bonds are a voluntary feature that allows you to share limited reading information (era name and cinematic line) with another user. By creating or accepting a Bond, you consent to the other user viewing this information. You may remove a Bond at any time through the app.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

AI-generated readings are for reflective purposes only and do not constitute professional advice of any kind (mental health, medical, legal, financial, or otherwise).

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CURRENT ERA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes via email or an in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
